Buenos Aires is the capital city of the Argentine Republic and has a population of more than 3 million people. It is the second largest city in South America and situated on the banks of the River Plata.

The transport that is used most in Buenos Aires is the bus (also known as the collective or micro) and the railway networks are also used frequently. The Buenos Aires metro, or "subte", has 6 lines that unite the important parts of the city. The air connections are the Ezeira Airport and the Jorje Newbery Airport.
Some of the places that you cannot miss seeing are 9 de Julio Avenue that is the widest avenue in the world, the Obelisk, the May Square and the Recoleta Cemetery, the commercial walking areas of Florida Street and Lavalle Street, the typical neighbourhoods of Saint Telmo and La Boca, and the wealthier neighbourhoods of Retiro, Recoleta, Palermo and Belgrano.
