Mexico City is the Federal District also known by the abbreviation Mexico DF and is the capital city of the country. Following Tokyo, it is the second largest metropolis in the world. The city has a population of more than 8 million people, and if we take into account the metropolitan area, this increase to a population of almost 20 million people.

The public transport system in Mexico City has various means of travelling around by metro, which is one of the most used, buses, trolley buses, metro bus, light trains and taxis.

You can come to the City of Mexico by air to the City of Mexico International Airport which has the highest amount of air traffic in Latin America.

The most essential places that you should visit in the City of Mexico are the Zocalo in the historical centre of the city, the Chapultepec Park, the Zona Rosa that is the commercial quarter of the city, the National Anthropology Museum and the Coyoacan.
